  Dr. Fourie is an amazing doctor. Last year my son was born 7 weeks early. Dr.Fourie was called down to intabate my son. He was calm and sweet explaining everything that was going to happen. After he intabated my son. He had to do a Csection. Stars was flown in because my son wasn't in good shape. They attempted to transfer him but his left lung collapsed. Dr. Fourie had finished the C section and had to return to the delivery ward for his jacket. When he noticed their was obviously a problem. He came right into help. Even though he had obviously worked all day and now almost all night. He ended up putting in a chest tube into my tiny baby. He would come over and explain situations to us. Giving us a sense of calmness in the most horrific moments of our lives. Yorkton hospital wasn't prepared for such a tiny baby. They had to work with what they had. He and his team were able to stabilize my son. But it was touch and go. Instead of handing over care to the stars team, he volunteered to ride with them and my son all the way to Regina. To ensure he would arrive safely. When the team didn't want me to ride with my them. (Because they couldn't treat me if something went wrong with me in travel. they are nicu nurses) Dr.fourie insisted I would be ok to travel. He basically told them in the politest way possible that I wouldn't be leaving my baby. My sons life was saved by doctor Fourie, the nurses of yorkton hospital, and the stars team. Thank you for being an amazing doctor
